Massapequa School District introduced the concept of makerspaces in its school libraries in a big way. Recently, all six of their elementary school libraries were revamped to include space for experimenting and creating, with a focus on STEAM concepts. School officials worked with the Demco Interiors team to outfit the spaces with mobile chairs and work spaces, write-on-wipe-off table tops, and green screen kits for media production. The result? Students and librarians are transforming the way they learn and teach.
