Children’s Activity Calendar: September 2015

[do action=”sponsor-upstart”/]

Now that everyone is settled back into school, September is a great month to focus on libraries and all they have to offer. Here are some ideas for September activities:

  • Encourage kids to explore resources on Hispanic culture during Hispanic Heritage Month
  • Learn some new words in sign language during Deaf Awareness Week
  • Celebrate their freedom to read during Banned Books Week.

This month is also Library Card Sign-Up Month, and don’t forget, mateys — September also celebrates Talk Like a Pirate Day!
